Terms and Conditions


A 20% deposit is payable on booking. Payment of the deposit by and/or on behalf of any person constitutes agreement with and acceptance of the terms and conditions set forth here.

Final Payment

Final payment is due 49 days prior to departure. Upon final payment, all tour fares are fixed and not subject to change. For tours departing within 49 days, full payment is required upon confirmation of booking. Fares are shown in Australian currency.

Concessions and Child Fares

Day tours
Our day tour products are not suitable for children under 5 years of age. Child fares apply for passengers aged 5-14 years.
Extended tours and Charters
Child or concessional fares may be applicable on some tour products and packages. Please check at booking.

Cancellation Fees

Extended Tours and Charters
Bookings cancelled more than 49 days prior to departure will result in the loss of a $100 per person cancellation fee.
Cancellations occurring less than 49 days before departure will incur the following charges: 15-49 days prior = 70% of total; 7-14 days prior = 80% of total; less than 7 days prior = 100% of total.
Day Tours
Cancellations occurring less than 48 hours prior to departure will result in the loss of 50% of the total tour costs; cancellations occurring less than 24 hours prior to departure will result in the loss of 100% of the total tour costs.
Please see the individual tour itinerary for full inclusions, however tours are generally all-inclusive except where specified in the itinerary.

Booking Confirmation, Pick-ups and Other Conditions

Please confirm your booking and accommodation arrangements by telephone on your arrival in Cairns. Pick-up times and locations are to be confirmed one day prior to tour departure. Pick-up and drop-off will be to Cairns area accommodation or en route. While every care will be taken to maintain itinerary timings, Your Trails Tours is unable to guarantee exact arrival and departure times, and cannot be held liable for failure to make connections with other services, or for any expenses incurred by its guests as a result of weather and resultant road conditions, mechanical defects, or any other unforeseen cause.
Your Trails Tours reserves the right to alter any advertised itinerary, including accommodation for extended tours, if weather conditions or any other unforeseen circumstances are prevailing at the time of the tour. Your Trails Tours will not refund any monies in the case of itinerary alterations. The operator also has the right to substitute vehicles or use alternative operators or carriers for transport.
Your Trails Tours reserves the right (without refund or compensation, and whether before or after commencement of travel or tour) to exclude any passenger if that passenger appears likely to endanger the health or safety of themselves or others, or impair the comfort of other passengers; this includes any passenger who commits, or allegedly commits, any illegal act.


The operator (Your Trails Tours) and its employees accept no responsibility for any booking, contract, travel, accommodation or group tour which results in any loss or damage, accident, diversion or theft in regard to luggage or personal belongings, and will be exempt from all liability in respect of direct or indirect consequential loss or damage, death, injury, sickness, irregularity, delay, and additional expenses, or inconvenience as a result of any other event beyond its control, including accident, failure of machinery or equipment, accommodation, transport, or other services.
In full consideration of passenger and staff safety, and in the interests of providing a comparable tour experience, we also reserve the right to change, cancel, use alternative vehicles or alter tour routes or itineraries without prior notice due to weather, road conditions or operational circumstances. No refund will be given in these circumstances, or in the event of any delay.

Pick-up Times

Please be waiting outside your accommodation 5 minutes prior to your pick-up time. Allow a 15-minute window from your pick-up time, as traffic/road/weather conditions may impact timing.
Food and Dietary Requirements
All reasonable care will be taken to meet food and dietary requirements, which must be notified at the time of booking.


As per legal requirements, smoking is not permitted in vehicles. If you require smoke breaks, your host will advise where and when is suitable. Please ensure you bring a small container suitable for disposal of cigarette butts.


Day Tours
Each passenger may carry a small daypack or handbag and refillable water bottle.
Extended Tours and Charters
Each passenger is entitled to take one bag (preferable soft sided) of dimensions 80cm x 30cm x 30cm. A small day bag or pack weighing no more than 7kg is also allowed. Baggage over the prescribed limit cannot be carried without prior arrangement. Note: Airlines or other carriers may have different luggage requirements.

Fitness, Medication and Disability Access

While our tours are generally suitable for people of all physical abilities, please advise at booking if you have any physical or medical conditions that may impact your mobility or participation in activities, so that we can plan accordingly. Passengers are responsible for supplying, safely storing and administering their own medication, if required. Your Trails Tours is not responsible for carrying, storing or administering any prescription or non-prescription medications.
People with disabilities requiring equipment such as wheelchairs or walkers for mobility may be accommodated on our tours, subject to conditions.


Your Trails Tours and/or its agents are not responsible or liable for damage or theft of luggage or personal belongings whatsoever, nor for personal injury, accidents, hospitalisation, illness or medical expenses. We strongly recommend all passengers consult their travel or insurance agent and obtain adequate insurance cover for their intended travel, including, but not limited to, health, baggage, and loss of monies through cancellation and/or expenses incurred through illness or personal liability prior to travel or causing early return.

Unused Tour Sectors

If a passenger fails to join a tour as booked, or joins after tour departure, or leaves the tour prior to completion, no refund will be made for any portion of the tour, or for any unused inclusions such as food, accommodation, excursions, entry fees.

Airline and Other Carrier Indemnity (where applicable)

Where airlines or other carriers (e.g. boat) are used, the operator indemnifies them against any claim, action, loss or damage arising from statements in tour itineraries relating to land content.
